DRAUGHT PROOFING FOR REFURBISHMENT

Owners and tenants of residential, industrial, commercial and public buildings are reminded to thermally upgrade properties in line with the ever-increasing standards for new buildings, in order to maximise energy efficiency and thus avoid over-payments on Climate Change Levy.

The simple addition of BS quality draught-stripping on all windows and external doors reduces heating costs, particularly on those larger buildings, and often raises production, as staff are kept warm, comfortable and draught-free. You are also helping to safeguard our future by protecting the environment. Draught proofing should be applied as part of any refurbishment programme.

Draught proofing should be applied by a specialist draught proofing installer - see Directory of Members.

Draught Proofing Advisory Association Remit:

The DPAA concentrates on providing an information service to specifiers and owners of residential,  commercial, industrial and public buildings covering products suitable for these buildings, and a Directory of Members undertaking their fitment. Click: Directory of Members. NB: Householders may refer direct to our installer members, who also handle domestic enquiries, or, if no member covering the locality, manufacturers should be approached for their nearest nominated contractor.

New Members:

New members meeting the high standards required for all types of buildings are invited to join. Contact the Draught Proofing Advisory Association, The Bothy, Albury Park, Surrey GU5 9BH; tel: (01483) 209666; e-mail: membership@dpaa-association.org.uk
