About the DPAA

THE DRAUGHT PROOFING ADVISORY ASSOCIATION was established in 1983. It now concentrates on widening the draught proofing market for its members, particularly the contract residential, industrial, commercial, architectural and public buildings market. (We regret we are unable to answer queries from private householders, who may approach our contractor members direct, or if no member covering the locality, manufacturers should be approached for their nearest nominated contractor, click: Directory of Members

DPAA members undertake to:

	use BS 7386 (Specification for Draughtstrips) quality draught proofing
	fit draught proofing according to the BS 7880 Code of Practice and manufacturers' instructions
	ensure staff are appropriately skilled and trained to carry out the particular project involved to the specification;
	abide by the Draught Proofing Advisory Association Code of Professional Practice
	carry the appropriate Public and Employer's Liability insurance

FOR MEMBERS:

The DPAA:

	provides a collective united voice in supporting its members and approaching Government, technical bodies, etc;
	provides a programme of articles in the specifier/commercial/industrial Press discussing draught proofing for this market, coupled with application by members;
	communicates government and other policy moves relevant to the industry, to its members;
	sits on appropriate technical and other committees working with Government via its Council members, as appropriate.

The Association has a management Council consisting of suppliers and installers, and a professional Secretariat undertaking government liaison and providing public relations services. Meetings are held when regarded as appropriate.
